“Overall we enjoyed our stay at Makali. It took us a while to feel “at home” in the villa for a couple of reasons; however, once we got used to these things and felt comfortable after the first 48 hours. Pros: 1. Great pool (although we were told it was freshwater but it stung our eyes so not sure that’s true) 2. Great large rooms and comfy beds 3. Fantastic couch 4. Great massage service at reasonable pric Cons: 1. The showers have large windows with plants outside however there are gaps……

“Rosalia villas (new name) are great! Big villa with a private pool, and its all in good condition. Located in Pererenan which is a nice and quieter part of Canggu. Plenty of great restaurants (I recommend Woods and Origen restaurants) and stores are very close by. The staff at the villas were fantastic. I highly recommend this villa ”

“酒店偏遠，有穿梭巴士到達Echo beach，本來從房間致電櫃臺約了晚上6時坐車，結果6時才被告知要7時15才有車。在私人泳池樓梯找到一把餐刀靠著樓梯直立著，十分危險。由於花灑在室外，晚上燈花不足，蚊子亦可以跑到睡房，即使有蚊帳仍然有蚊。”

“We stayed for 11-nights and overall we had a great time. On the first day we had issues with the rain shower (it was only trickling water, the rest of the water holes were blocked) and we communicated it to the staff. Not sure if they fixed it while we were out, but it did improve. The space is perfect for us (two people) and the bed is super comfy. There are a lot of insects in the night (moths, small flies, etc) but the property provides an electric standing zapper thing so it was not so……

“Plus: the rooms are really nice in a typical Bali Villa set up. first disappointment: right after the booking I receive a msg with options what I could spend my money on while there. ok :( arrival date not possible to chance. ok :( super helpful to arrange early-check in :) 1 out of 3 bungalows (not villas please) not as described - it's squeezed with a wall right in front of it with a path everyone else is using to pass by. I did not plan to be on a stage :( all conversations behind that……

Wonderful Stay

"We had a wonderful stay at La Reserve. The service is immaculate. From the time I have confirmed my reservation, the rest of the arrangements are taken care of including hotel transfer, early breakfast and so on. The hotel even provides buggy service that takes us to nearby places. The staff extremely attentive, remembering our preferences from day 1. I love the all day breakfast concept making it extremely flexible especially for travellers with unpredictable schedule. Their a la carte menu for lunch/dinner though simple but food is of very high standard. We contemplated going out for our dinner on the last night but eventually decided to stay with them simply because we know we will be very well taken care of and we were right. Love this hotel and would undoubtedly return! "
