“As a woman traveling solo on business, I felt very safe staying in Winston-Salem at this B&B. The Alspaugh King Room is gorgeous. It is thoughtfully appointed and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is just incredible, with a claw-foot tub and a large shower. They even gave me complimentary wine and pretzels at check-in. Three restaurants were just a short walk away, too. “I had a great stay! Maria was the star of the show! Amazing customer service from start to finish. She made me feel very comfortable and safe. I also enjoyed the room service. It has a nice restaurant/bar area in the lobby. My room was so clean and nice. The bed was very firm which I loved. Within walking distance of a lot of great shops/restaurants. “I do not understand the high ratings. Room 321 was very noisy with truck breaking noises. The curtains and walls could use cleaning. The hotel is dated. The beds were comfortable, warm, and appeared clean.The food was good. A lady was waiting for someone to appear to check out when we were taking our luggage to the car.
