“I first stayed at the Ginger bread house in the 80ies not long after it became a B&B. It is just as wonderful now as it was then. From tea time to the stroll in the garden is was a magical stay. The one draw back was booking through VRBO. I was not able to contact the hostess directly and wasn't sure how to check in. It is best to make reservations by directly calling them. “We were in Ferndale for a multi-day event at the Fairgrounds. The Garden Suite suited us perfectly. We travel with our dogs, and the suite worked well. The location offered proximity to downtown Ferndale and its many charms, and also to the Fairgrounds. Our hosts (Sheila and Sharon) provided access information a couple days in advance, and gave careful directions so we wouldn't drive past their country-road location. We've already made our reservation for a return visit!”

“We loved our stay at this hidden gem. The house was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed. There is not much to the town of Petrolia so be prepared to bring supplies with you. There is a general store in case you forget something and they had reasonable prices, considering they were the only game in town.
