“The trailer was older but fully functional. Heat and fans for temperature control. There was lots of space to park and set up tents, the kitchen sink and stove worked well and the bbq was very helpful. The space was very nice with trails, canoeing, and the full camping experience. “Cottage was everything we hoped for. Our own private beach, paddle boat, board and kayaks all in great condition.Beautiful lake. Nice campfire in the evening. Kitchen spacious. We had our 3 grandchildren. We all enjoyed the fishing, swimming and boating.Beautiful sunrise/sunsets.Only thing missing were outdoor lawn chairs. We had brought 2 but there were none there. Nice chairs on the screened in porch. Maybe we could have taken them out but we didn’t want to ruin them.Great stay. We……

“We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. The cottage got both very hot and cold while we were there with the fluctuating temps that week. The fans in every room work wonders and there is heating if needed. Adequate and comfortable……

“We had a very nice week at this cottage. It’s a quieter part of the river, boat-wise, so good SUP’ing and kayaking. Good fishing spots too. The cottage is on the smaller side, but it sleeps six comfortably, and otherwise we spent all our time outside, so we did not mind the smaller living area. We brought a pop-up shelter to create more shade near the water, as it’s on the sunny side. It was our second trip to this cottage, counting last year, and we are looking forward to another week this……

“Loved the beach and sandy lake bottom. Didn’t like being right on highway 60, lots of traffic noise. The kitchen was very dark and the light over the sink wasn’t working. Everyone had to walk through the main bedroom to use the only shower, the hosts left their bar of soap, toothbrush and paste and a razor. The picture shows bright coloured Adirondack chairs around a big fire pit. We had to move the fire pit away from a drain pipe. We had 2 patio deck chairs that sank in the sand, a gravity……

“The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts. Be mindful of leaving any dry food in the screened-in kitchenette if going out for more than an hour -- the local chipmunks are hungry and know what they're looking for. Only minor……
