“I never give bad reviews & this was my first bad experience with a VRBO. We were visiting for Wake Forest parents weekend, drove through the hurricane, arrived at dinner, & I messaged the host because we hadn’t received our code. He replied immediately (only positive) that he was sorry & had to cancel our reservation. It was 6pm. The condo was overbooked on another platform & someone had already checked in. I don’t understand how this happens because we received VRBO emails reminding us……

“Check-in was quite blotchy and late due to the host being on a cruise and not being able to get messages to me easily. But finding out that the front door had been left unlocked for me 'as to be convenient' was extremely unsafe and unnerving to enter at that point.
