“This house has the potential to be amazing however, the listing is not an accurate display of how the house is currently maintained. The gardens are all overgrown and there is a swamp in the backyard that is infested with mosquitoes. The house has rotten floors with holes throughout and places where you think you may fall through the floor.Pool area was not as listed. It looks like the pictures were taken more than 10 years ago and the house has not been properly maintained. The road noise was……

Nous avons pu observer des animaux, beaucoup d'oiseaux dont les toucans. Gloria a su répondre très rapidement à toutes nos questions. Ce gîte fait parti de nos plus belles locations merci Gloria ”

“Where to begin!!!! How about birds and monkeys entertaining you while enjoying your delicious morning coffee!!! The house is beautifully finished and has everything and more for a very comfortable stay. As an added bonus it’s walking distance to a fabulous restaurant and lookout over La Fortuna. Can’t wait to come back to Casa Toucan!!! Anne was a wealth of information and suggestions which all proved invaluable!!”

“We had a good visit. Beds were comfortable enough. If I were to go back to La Fortuna, I would probably stay closer to the town. It was about a 30 min drive of country roads. The house was as pictured - but the first floor is only accessible from stairs that are outside- not sure why…but it meant we really didn’t use the first floor except for one dinner. Esp when we had pouring rain. We had to kill a few big water bugs / cockroaches. ”
