“The extra, thoughtful touches in this home are just wonderful. We loved the beds and had the most incredible, restful sleep while there. “My extended family of 10 stay for the week. With 5 active kids ages 9-12 there was plenty of kayaks, tubes, and canoes for them to use. The river is calm in front of the house. Yes the hill to the water is steep but it wasn’t an issue for any of us. The porch rocking chairs on the screened porch was wonderful for drinking coffee and watching the river every morning. There’s a stack of firewood for the fire pit which is nice of the host to supply along with sticks (in the kitchen) for roasting……

“Beautiful home with serene views of the river, very quiet and peaceful. River access was easy with stairs right to it and TWO decks over looking. The screen porch is an added bonus with hot tub. Plenty of towels, washing clothes provided. Check in was very easy & communication was great! “The property was amazing and a tranquil. It was a bit of a drive down som country roads but well worth the drive as it is only 25 minutes from Harrisonburg amenities. It did rain for half our stay and the river was high and running fast, so we did not get to enjoy the kayaks or inner tubes unfortunately. One issue we had was it was pouring upon our arrival and there were no entry rugs at any of the three entrances so we had to use towels to clean up the floors which caused us to have to……

“Very nice. Well equipped. Family trip ranged from 1 to adults. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time. Kitchen had everything things you need. “Great location for a few day trip to the national park. The kids absolutely loved the play areas. The hot tub and many appliances plus amenities made it a very comfortable stay. The only downside, although it was clearly communicated so we knew, was the trash disposal on the last day. Considering the amount paid to stay at the house, guests shouldn’t be expected to inconveniently drive 10 minutes to dispose trash.”
