“The moment the door of the property opened, I felt like I am looking at a slice of paradise, compared to the views I got on the drive from airport to the property. The room I stayed in is tastefully decorated, with a deck that sees a very good angle of the cloud shrouded mountain. The hosts are so flexible. “I liked everything except it was quite a distance from the airport and we arrived at night which it was a bit eerie ”

“Super kind and helpful owner picked me up from the airport at night and made a side trip to an ATM that he knew would be operating at 10 pm. The ATM in baggage claim was empty and many ATMs shut down before 10pm. I had an 8am flight the next morning and my destination has no banks or ATMs and many businesses there don"t take credit cards. The owner really saved my bacon and was very gracious about it. He charged a very fair price for the service. This is a very basic place, but looked clean. A……

“Jorge and family are very gracious hosts. I booked this place partly because I wanted to support family run business. As expected: the lodges are rather rustic: good plumbing - meaning toilet flushed fine, and shower runs, albeit I couldn't figure out how to get hot water out. The knowledge that Jorge and Herman transferred to me made the stay enjoyable: on toucons, on fungi, on bees.”
