“We are not strangers to the area, my wife having grown up in the area, but each time we stay on the Chesapeake we feel at home. The Hideaway is so nice that you don't want to go back your actual home! It is furnished as if it is a year-round residence, no cheap or mismatched furniture and appliances. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen is has everything you need and it works. The yard and amenities are top notch. If you enjoy bird watching, sit in the back yard and take in the bird activity……

“We had a milestone birthday to celebrate in our family and decided to really treat ourselves to renting this lovely home only 2 hours from DC. It was absolutely perfect in every way. Water views---spectacular!! Spent the entire weekend with family and a few friends in the pool, hot tub, playing outdoor chess by the pool, kayaking, biking, fishing....just sitting and watching to gorgeous wildlife (Eagles/Ospray/Blue Herons/Egrets....bluebirds/kingfishers/cardinals! “This home sits right on the water! It is beautiful! We watched ships roll by, ducks bobbing on the water, and flocks of geese flying and landing on the water. The view from both lower and upper decks are amazing! We spent lots of time on the decks even though it was cold - we just covered ourselves with blankets. The hosts are wonderful people, always kind and patient, and gave great recommendations on shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. They were very communicative and answered all my……

“The house was in a great location and had wonderful views of the river. The beds were clean and comfortable. The rooms are all ample size and accommodated our large family. My only comment is the outside appeared to need a deep clean, however since it was May and still a bit cold that was not an issue for us. I would absolutely stay at this property again. ”
