“We had a great peaceful trip in WV and the Riverkeeper was a big part of it. We appreciated their hospitality and location right next to the river. And Shepherds town.”

“The home is situated up several narrow, winding roads. I don't recommend finding it in the dark. The rain shower shower-head is wonderful, but the shower size is too big for the room. There is no room for toiletries @ the sink. A luggage shelf would be helpful. There are no grocery store nearby. Bring your food with you.”

“We booked this place for 12 adults and it was last minute as the previously booked location cancelled the day before the trip. We doubled up in each room. It had everything we needed plus a pool. It is located close to numerous wineries and is right next door to the brewery. There was plenty of parking for everyone. The place was clean and checkin and checkout was easy. We property manager was quick to reply to any questions we had. The view was amazing especially for the sunrise!”

“Comfy and clean, perfect stay for our girls get-away weekend. Updated 1st floor with new floors. Nicely decorated, super comfy beds. Perfect plase to rest after a day hiking and visiting historic HF. ”

“The cabin was perfect for a few days of writing and reflecting! Everything was very clean and it was easy communicating with the owner. The house is not "secluded" as there are neighboring houses on two sides and if I hadn't brought an ax/saw to cut my own dry wood enjoying a fire wouldn't have been possible. But overall a lovely stay and I look forward to going again!”

“We used this beautiful home for a history trip of DC landmarks and regional Civil War Battlefields. The location was great. The drive into DC averaged about an hour and 45 minutes in the mornings due to traffic, but all the other Civil War destinations were much less and the house is large and very well maintained. The family loved sitting in the hot tub each night after a long day of walking and had the extra pleasure of a herd of deer that greeted us each night next along side the driveway……

“My daughter in laws and step daighter started a ln annual girls trip past uear to spend quality time together, have fun and relax. This was a great location to hangout. Close enough to shopping but far enough from chaos. The view is amazing and enjoyed it from sunup to su down.”

“Dill Cottage is comfortable, cozy and extremely convenient to the Frederick shops, parks and restaurants.Our host was extremely communicative, as well as; providing a booklet with all the information necessary to enjoy your visit.”

“The overall property is need of repair and cleaning. The fence around the property was missing and damaged. Piles of concrete padding and material from renovations were piled and not covered. Steps to back of property leading to room lacked handrails. The new concrete steps were slick. The room was very well decorated. Parts of the walls were damaged. The two blinds in windows were broken.. The furnace ran constantly due to the other visitors kept raising the thermostat. The price of the stay……

“We had a fantastic stay at the property. The home is very charming and the pool is great. The location was also really nice. Close to wineries and hiking. Two points of feedback are that the dishes were visibly dirty upon arrival and all of the mattresses need to be replaced. Everyone in the group slept poorly and noted that the mattresses were uncomfortable. The master bedroom should likely also have a larger bed.”

“Very nice property and I wish the weather had been better so I could enjoy the outside as much as the inside. The home had all the necessities and was in great shape. Loved the artistic touches (wall photos, stove covers, dish patterns). Lots of wildlife stopped by -deer, woodpecker, birds! Would definately stay again!”
