“The house was cozy and warm, and lovely and quiet. We had a nice relaxing stay, garden is lovely and delicious homemade cake on arrival. Host was helpful and accomodating, and check in was easy. Nice walks from the cottage. Very close to the border with Wales, went to Powis Castle which is worth a visit. The local area is a bit sparse for shops, would recommend having a car, but Shrewsbury is a lovely historic town closeby, we used the park and ride (15 mins away). Definitely would recommend……

“Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely traditional cottage. The village is lovely, you can buy your essentials from the village shop (Post Office). The cottage is well situated within the village and there are lovely walks nearby. Although the weather was brilliant, the nights were getting chilly so we welcomed the log burner which kept us nice and cosy. The host was on hand with information about the area and advised us about the best places to visit in this beautiful part of the country.……

“My husband loves steam trains so staying in the porter’s lodge right on the platform was an ideal choice. Sadly we were too early in the season to see or ride on steam trains but it was still fun to see the diesel ones. The cottage was larger than I thought… perfect for the 2 of us. Large well equipped kitchen (a guide on using the cooker would have been useful but we coped very well) and lounge with sofa, arm chair and wood burner which we enjoyed on one evening. “This is our second stay at this property and it was once again, everything we wanted. The weather wasn’t great and with children to entertain, a walk across the road and we were in the leisure centre where there’s a great swimming pool plus slide. The house was great for relaxing, the kitchen enormous so all the chefs in the family could work alongside each other as one was outside bbqing. We will be returning again next year, we absolutely love coming to stay. Thank you ”

“There are plenty of places I banged my head: the entrance door and the low rafter upstairs hallway. All in all nice location, at least set back somewhat from the road and a since creek running right next to the property. Slight mildew smell, which could be fixed by a dehumidifier. Kitchen was modern and pleasant to use with a small hotel fridge.”
