“Tidy hotel the other side of Llangollen which resulted in a hairaising approach in our low slung car along very wiggly roads (we found an easier B road via Chirk later! ) This hotel is situated in a quiet village and we slept well both nights. Our room was huge, clean, well decorated with lovely fixtures and fittings offering plenty of storage. “Nice and friendly welcome and on arrival impressed with the bedroom however on checking bedding a dried blood stain on the fitted sheet which was clear to see and in clear view (must have been seen when making the bed up) and also a dirty stained pillowcase was evident. Reception informed and immediately resolved the issue. They also offered a free drink as an apology. Tv remote required new batteries but was advised the sensor was hid behind the dressing table mirror and although we moved it,……

“We had a wonderful stay at the Old Stores. Our room was beautiful, as was the shared sitting room. Breakfast was great, location perfect, host was kind and helpful. Montgomery is an interesting town with good walks around. Highly recommend.”
