“An overnight stop on the way to Pembrokeshire. Staff were all very friendly and the food was very good. The hotel is on quite a busy road, though we did go for a walk along the local canal and golf course and that was pleasant - and we avoided the thunderstorms !”

“Generally OK. However, the pillows were poor quality and affected my sleep. Also the Sheep room has a skylight window that cannot be covered. Consequently I was woken up by sunlight streaming through the window at 05:00am and could not get back to sleep.”

We stayed in one of the Garden rooms which was perfect in every way with thoughtful details, such as a torch to walk back with after dinner, and fresh milk in our fridge for tea/coffee. What really impressed was the service we received from the staff. Even though the bar and restaurant were busy, the manager and his brilliant young team looked after us so well . We will definitely return! ”

“The hotel is situated a short walk outside of Ludlow, about 10 minutes walk from the castle and over a stone bridge. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. My room had a view of the castle. A good breakfast was included in the price. The hotel has a bar which was open in the afternoon. There was no lift in the hotel, which is a problem with heavy luggage as I was on the 2nd floor.”
