“The owner seemed to have concentrated on remodeling the inside and haven't completed the outside. This property is not safe for kids as the stair railing posts are too wide apart where a child could fall from the upstairs to the tile floor below. Many kitchen features did not work: oven, dishwasher, built-in ice maker, trash compactor. Wine cooler was frozen up with temperature set too low. Bottom freezer to refrigerator was broken with water sloshing around. Water pressure is low in the……

“This was hands down the most affordable and relaxing get away . We are a fishing family and they had plenty of fish for us to catch. Ms flood had everything you need to be comfortable . Plenty of space. The plus was the TVs she had in each room to really make it home away from home and private if it more guest in the house. The extra fishing poles came in handy as well . thank you Ms flood. Everything was perfect !!”

“The property was very nice and clean. It is very comfortable and close to the water. My advice is bring mosquito spray for sure. The fishing pier was convenient though it seems like it has seen some better days, it is narrow and missing railings so I would be hesitant to let little ones run amok or for that matter imbibe to much because it is the ultimate sobriety test. We did catch fish even though the weather wasn’t exactly cooperative. There is a convenience store/bait shop/cafe very close……

“Everything promised in the listing was accurate. The place was clean, location was nice, pool and outdoor kitchen was just as pictured and the owners were very accommodating. I had a work assignment for 2 months in the area and it was perfect for me. I'd definitely try to book it again if I was in the area.”

“We had a great stay at Captain's Cabin. We were looking for a place on Sabine Lake that had great access to our favorite fishing spots and Captain's Cabin suited our needs perfectly. The house and yard were very clean and well appointed. There was ample room for parking and the area is safe and extremely quiet. David, the property owner ,was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Captain's Cabin to anyone. ”
