“It’s was a great place to stay. Very private and quiet. Love the cabin. We love to fish so we would have loved to have information about locations to fish. We did enjoy feeding the fish and the fact that everything was close by. Fireworks were close by and we were able to watch from the porch. Thanks for having us. ”

“We stayed 4 nights. I had great memories of the area while at Ft Polk in the 1964 - 1966 time and wanted to see it again. That part of Louisiana was my favorite and still is. And we picked an amazing place to spend 4 days. And a great host.We highly recommend. ”

“Great location between Lafayette & Opelousas with easy access. Very clean and decently stocked w/ dishes, pots, pans, & utensils. Fully furnished kitchen. Well stocked with bath tissue, dish & laundry soap, coffee pods, & other amenities. Good quality paper goods, linens, & towels. Full sized washer & dryer were great. Central A/C & ceiling fans in bedrooms were very nice. Beds were VERY comfortable (headboards?). Lots of closets. Overall layout is very efficient & works well. Neighborhood was……

“We were in town for a wedding and this place was equidistant to all of our destinations and within a reasonable drive to some sightseeing points we wanted to visit. The house was very clean with ample space for our little group. The arrival gift of wine was a great gesture and perk as well.”

“We throughly enjoyed our time at Bayou Getaway. The pond has very friendly turtles. We fed them daily from the fish food that was in the home. You get enough privacy to be away from the hustle and bustle of being in town, but are close enough to be in Lafayette in no time. We will definitely be coming back to this little bit of peace and quiet. ”
