“The house was BEAUTIFUL. It had a well stocked kitchen and comfy living area, two big things for our group. The entire house was decorated beautifully. We wish we had time and appropriate weather to enjoy the porch. This is the perfect little cottage especially if you want a weekend away from city life. It is a short distance away from Blur Marsh Lake which has lots of good trails. ”

“Overall, the stay was pretty good. The house was well kept and beautiful. I just wish the owner was a bit more responsive because the heat in the house was not consistent. It was 20 degrees outside and no matter what you changed the thermostat to, the top floor felt like a sauna and the bottom floor was freezing. When we were sleeping, we had to open the windows of the bedrooms to not get smothered by heat, and it was specifically unbearable in my case being on the top bunk, near the ceiling……

“My girlfriend and I booked Dove Nook for a little getaway in early spring and could not have been happier. The cabin has everything you could need, and the property has amenities to spare. You have full run of the grounds, including feeding all the cute animals. Alyssa, the host, was extremely friendly and helpful, and provided us with a bag of feed for the animals and a bunch of fresh eggs for cooking. “The house a perfect weekend getaway home. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Perfect location to the coal mine museum and mine tour and the town of Jim Thorpe. The only negative thing was the main bedroom mattress was very hard and uncomfortable but overall a great stay. ”
