“We made the Palace Hotel our base for three nights while celebrating recent nuptials. This Victorian building is full of character with high ceilings and very generous lounging spaces. Quiet and comfortable for a good night’s sleep. All meals are taken in cafes and restaurants a few steps away. Some require reservations a few weeks in advance because of demand in high season. World class hiking 1.5hr drive away. Very pleasant walks around town and port for non-hikers. Day trips on the ferry.……

“We arrived a bit early and still were able to check in and checked out at 11:30 the next day. Bed was very comfortable. The sea view is awesome. We also saw deer, bald eagles and early morning kayakers. ”

“My family of four had such a nice time here. It's a nice size, and the location is perfect. We walked all over town from there with little kids because it's close to everything. We loved the big windows overlooking the deck, where we could see a fuzzy little baby deer who visited every evening! Property owners were very easy to communicate with and even offered flexibility with check in/out times. I'd happily stay there again.”
