“The home was very clean. We had everything we needed for a weekend away. The owner answered us quickly when we had a question about the door lock. The stairs are quite steep but there is a handrail on both sides which is helpful for older people. There is a tv in the upstairs bedroom which wasn’t mentioned and a cozy chair. We arrived very late and there was no lights on the outside which made it hard to find our way in. There was a Keurig in the kitchen with creamer. A welcomed morning……

“We loved our stay. We had plenty of space to enjoy time together. We played games, walked the trails, and enjoyed the beautiful nearby park with a walking bridge over the river. We had 6 in our group. Two of us slept outside in a tent. If you have more than 6 people, you might run low on dishes and towels. But, for six of us, it was perfect. Just make sure you realize there are only places in beds for four bodies. :) The listing says this, but it could be easy to miss since it is listed as a……

“This VRBO was very clean and inside a lovely, self-built home. We had no complaints, however, the listing could have been clearer that the owner and family live in the other half of the house and have access to walk into the renter's half of the house at any point. The owner was very friendly and accommodating to a large group. The house has lots of wildlife, which offers a relaxing stay in the woods. ”

The guidebook that the property owner put together was very helpful in identifying places to eat and visit. I highly recommend a visit to old town. We were fortunate enough to catch the blues festival while we were there. We will definitely visit Lansing again!”
