“We had a wonderful stay at this updated farmhouse. Check in was easy. The host communicated all details and was available to answer questions via text. “We had a wonderful time at the property. It is much more spacious than the pictures do it justice. The house was ls clean and well organized and K, the property owner was fantastic. Very responsive to questions and even came and plowed and salted while we were there due to the slow and ice storm we experienced. The property is about 25’ from Elk Mountain but the drive is easy and pretty. I would suggest AWD or FWD of going during the winter since many of the roads in that area are snow and ice……

“This is not a luxury hotel - but this is a great property for getting away from it all with enough room for an extended family! The kitchen is huge and well stocked. Each room has its own window AC and several rooms have their own bathroom. The Dining Room/Sunroom/Living Room layout is great for large groups - we even moved tables around and fit our whole family (20 people) at one long table one night! Don't worry about packing linens and towels (except maybe a beach towel) as that is all taken……

“The home was beautiful (exactly as shown in the pictures) and a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. Our kids loved swimming in the pool and using the floats provided. We saw several deer which they loved, and took a walk to visit the cows down the road. There are some nice hikes and restaurants around. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and the house was equipped with all we could need!”

“We had a lovely time staying Christine and Shawn’s home. The amenities within the community are great. Hawley is a 15 minute drive away and has a great small town feel with loads of antique shops. There are some good hikes near by and the lake is beautiful. We had trouble trying to fit everything into one weekend. The house is clean and cozy and Shawn and Christine send you loads of info and recommendations making the trip easy and enjoyable ”

“This house was perfect for a quick weekend! There is a small beach by the lake that’s nice for a walk/morning coffee. It’s not a touristy area at all so it’s quiet and peaceful. I would say if you’re looking to be isolated it’s not necessarily for you, as it is in a community of houses, but if that doesn’t bother you it’s definitely still a great location! The host is extremely helpful and friendly. I had asked if there were board games and he literally went and bought some haha! GREAT place for……
