“My biggest complaints would be that there were dirty dishes in the cupboards so I ended up washing most of them before using them. There were several lights out or not working in the apartment. The kitchen is very small which is okay but not well pictured in the listing. No extra toilet paper just the single half roll you get when arriving. Steps from Perly's, Stella's grocery and everything else downtown, yet feels calm and quiet in the apartment.There was a persistant acrid smell, like burnt rubber or wires in the bathroom the whole time, which would not clear even with the exhaust fan. “Needed a place close to VCU for a series of medical appointments and this place was really close and super nice. Truly the gem that they advertise it as. The fenced in yard is nice to have and we were convenient to everything we wanted to do. The idea was to be able to leave the car parked there and Uber to the doctor each day and all the attractions nearby and the plan worked beautifully. ”

“The listing is totally accurate; this is a small studio! But as other reviews mention, they use the space very well. We kept the sleeper sofa pulled out the whole time we were there and were able to navigate the room just fine. (We stayed for a week.) The renovation was done thoughtfully and well, not a shoddy flip, and everything was very clean and well-functioning. Location is unbeatable--walkable to multiple excellent restaurants (including an ice cream parlor right downstairs), sight-seeing……
