The home was perfect for our gathering but perhaps the most perfect part of the home was the yard and the creek!! Southern Illinois held so many hiking and waterfall adventures. This year was the little different my dad suffered a heart attack and didn't make it the host was amazing and offered an extra night so that my brother could come in to make funeral arrangements. I highly recommend this cabin not just because it is very lovely but also because the host is amazing! ”

The house has a luxurious cabin feel, and there are plenty of spaces for people to spread out and play games or talk. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, which made it easy for us to cook up some favorite meals. The property manager was friendly and responsive to questions we had. “We loved this lake house that has a cottage feel. So cozy and decorated so cute! Loved that all 3 bedrooms have a king size bed! And the daybed and lower level with a little couch amd tv area work perfectly for kiddos! The view was amazing!!! Rented a boat and were able to dock it right up to the house each evening. The lake is clean and so calm. Great boating experience too! Close to Marion, Carbondale, and Shawnee National Forest. Also so close to the Shawnee wine trail. Lots to do! ”
