“Unit was ok but not handicapped accessible to go to room and bathroom with wheelchair, door small client blind and amputation leg. We did manage his care while staying there. I wish I could say for vacation but it was for my daughter’s funeral and that was a healing process. Thank you all. Overall very convenient for us the paina was at the big Punalu’u beach park. Overall this is a nice place to just relax, thank you all”

“The grounds are beautiful. No one helped with checkin couldn’t find #71. Didn’t know where to park. There wasn’t as much airflow as described. Really stuffy/hot sweating. The bed was hard, the couch really needs to be replaced. The loungers at the pool were chained together one facing the pool, one facing the other way. Couldn’t move any more than a couple inches. Very strange. There really is nothing around the area. The condo was clean and kitchen stocked. ”

“Property was as described. We are from Kona and had a funeral to attended in Naalehu so it was easier for us to stay out there instead drive all the way back to Kona. Room had everything we needed. Only thing i recommend is getting better fans. It gets hot in the room at night while you trying to sleep. ”

“The unit is outdated and needs TLC. We had to kill ants daily and found them in the bed frequently. The smoke alarm was not operational (no battery). The property complex is very well maintained and staff are very friendly. The pool/hot tub are great and have an amazing view of the ocean. I would highly recommend the complex just not our unit. ”

“The location was just right for us as we love the Black Sand Beach. Everything was good in the condo with the exception of the sofa bed. All other condos we have stayed in at that resort have had pull down sofa beds with thick mattresses. This condo had a pull out sofa bed with a thin-ish mattress on it. For the 3rd bed, it was okay, but much prefer the thicker sofa bed.”

“The condo was just as advertised. It was the perfect place to spend a few days in the warmth of Hawaii with the sound of the ocean in the background. ”

“Sufficiently comfortable and central to our hiking adventures. Warm. Thankful for the fans but maybe need about four more. It was lovely sitting on lanai in the evening. Too hot in the direct sun in the morning and the retractable blind cannot be secured and so it just whacks you. We did enjoy our stay and the evening views from the lanai. Thanks!”

“Lovely location near the beach, an easy walk. No snorkeling on Punalu’u, but we saw turtles on the beach every day and kids were boogie boarding and swimming. 40 minute drive to Volcanoes National Park, and we spent 2 days exploring there. Very open and airy island home. High ceiling made it feel very spacious. Feels remote, and the complex was very quiet. Birds and geckos will visit you on the lanai. No A/C, but it cooled down quickly with the breeze at night when the windows were open……

“Love the location. However the listing states there is a queen pull out bed but there is not. It's a small uncomfortable couch. Both my kids had to sleep on it and my toddler fell off at night and slept on the cold floor. The next night he slept in bed with us which makes for non of us getting sleep. The pool is nice. ”
