“Wanted to get a feel for DH vibe. My son recently purchased a lot there. This is our 7th trip to the Big Island, and first time to stay in Naalehu. Definitely more chill, less people and less touristy. Volcano was spectacular! House was adequate. Furnishings were spartan, not very homey. Kitchen was very nice with newer appliances, except the frig door didn't seal tightly.Overall an enjoyable stay, it's Hawaii!!”

“Myra's Blue Hawaii House is absolutely delightful! We were so pleased with our host's communication. She gave us suggestions of places to visit and places to eat. She was considerate and so easy to work with. Her place is an absolutely marvelous getaway location. It was located very close to the South tip where we were able to experience black and green sand beaches as well as marvelous sunsets on the south point. “I stayed here for a month and felt quite at home. Michael, the host checked in and was prompt on returning texts or phone calls. Its a bit cool in the evenings so bring a long sleeve shirt or two and/or sweatshirt. If you hang laundry to dry, i recommend bringing it inside if it clouds up ir it won't get dry. Very private. Hot showers. Lots of different kinds of birds. Geckos and Jackson Chameleons. Two markets, convenience store, and laundromat just down at the highway. Best drinking water is……

“The property was even better than anticipated. The ocean was right in front of the house, no other houses in the way of the ocean vistas. Perfect sunrises and sunsets every day. The most beautiful, quiet, restful place in Ocean View, and this was our fourth stay here. The occasional person we encountered on our walks was very friendly.”
