“Easy access, private, but close to everything we needed on this side of the island. A perfect stay.”

“This was a great location for spending more time at the volcano and sites nearby. The house and neighborhood were as expected. We enjoyed the sounds of birds and frogs, with daily rain showers. Be prepared for cooler temps due to elevation. We are experienced with wood stoves but found this unit very difficult to get started and keep burning( some fat wood might be useful). Luckily, there was a plug in heater available and used instead of the woodstove. Overall the unit is as described. Only……

“We loved staying here! It was clean, quiet and peaceful. It felt like an oasis. We loved the sounds of all the tropical birds in the surrounding forest. It was also VERY convenient to the Volcano National Park. Peggy was a fantastic host and the communications with her were great. We would stay there again if we come back!!”

“Honored to be your first guest! Cozy & Close to the Volcano! This was a lovely rental with easy access and tons fun. The Heart shaped hot tub was delightful, especially at the higher elevation. We used it multiple times and loved being surrounded by the rainforest. The kitchen and living room space were great. Eating breakfast and dinner on the Lanai, were also special. “Perfect location for a visit to Volcanos National Park. Very cute house, comfortable beds, basic kitchen supplies and spices to cook own meals. We loved the cookies provided! The hot tub was amazing, even with an outdoor shower. The gardens were lovely. Yes, the house was a bit musty, but this is to be expected in a humid environment. The only issue we had was one of the bathrooms was not only musty but also had a very foul smell to it. This should be taken care of. I would stay there again with……

It is a good central spot between Kona and Hilo, especially if you would like to explore both sides separately. Great experience all around.”
