“This was a lovely home that served as our base for one night during a brief visit to Volcano National Park. The rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of frogs and other chirping critters at night. It was an easy drive to the entrance of the National Park. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Mauna Loa! The home was very private, comfortable and peaceful. The proximity to Volcano National Park it was only a 6 minute drive- made it convenient to take breaks and for an easy drive to catch the sunrise over the volcanos. The owner, Bud, and his dog Lizzy are really engaging to chat with but also respect your privacy if you prefer. We loved soaking in the hot tub at the end of our days spent hiking. ”

“Our stay was amazing! The lush greenery and serenading Coqui frogs were a lovely touch. Plus, the space was super accommodating for our group of 7 adults - plenty of room to spread out and relax. Volcano National Park was just a 15-minute drive away, and everything else we expected was there too! We loved ending the evenings with a warm soak in the hot tub under the stars, followed by gathering around the outdoor fire pit. One more tip: be sure to check out, Lanikai Brewing in Volcano & Kaleo's……
