“Elaine and Carter’s studio was perfect for my wife and I when visiting Volcanoes NP and Hilo. We spent I full day and 3 evenings in the National Park and 1 day exploring the beaches and waterfalls near Hilo. The studio was clean, well appointed and gated. Elaine and Carter were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again in our next visit!”

“Beautiful gardens and lovely accomodations. Clean and colorful unit with everything we needed. Proximity to south point was great for partner to go fishing off the shore. No AC, but weather is cooler and great breeze coming through house. Evenings were filled with frogs singing. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Would love to stay here again.”

“Only there has been a little confusion when after booking 2 units for 2 people, and paying a full price, I received suddenly a message that one of my 2 units was cancelled. It made me worried about how I could accommodate both of us. At the end my 2nd person got ill and couldn’t come, so I used the one unit Nane.”

“This is one of few stays that the actual houses is better than in the pictures . House locates on a hill with great ocean view and just 45 mins away from Volcano national park . Owner Ruth is very friendly and provides lots of things for guest, chargers, drinks , snacks and even a massager chair! Wish I can stay longer , definitely 10/10 stay!”

“There were definite highs and lows to this property. The rooms were very clean and there was great entertainment options (games available to play) and lots of beds, which is what we wanted. However, we really wanted the hot tub which this property advertised, but was clearly not being uproot or available for use. There was one line in the posting, that the water is not drinkable. I applaud that this property is so green, but it was somewhat inconvenient for utilizing water. The biggest complaint……

“The stay here was amazing! Peaceful, clean, tranquil, and excellent place for a get away! Parking couldn’t be better! And communication was point on! Very quick response. Family friendly, having limited toys available for young children, but enough to keep them busy, and the owners sanitize everything for you! I would definitely come back. ”

“We loved our stay at Fern Cottage! It was very clean, stocked with everything you might need, and in a perfect location for accessing Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. The hosts were helpful, kind, and we enjoyed getting to meet them. We loved the lush setting and drinking coffee on the lanai in the mornings surrounded by beautiful plant life. We also appreciated having the heater since it got chilly at night! The cottage is located a few minutes driving distance from Volcano Village, where there……
