“We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment at the back of the property on the second floor. The room was updated and clean. Walking distance to restaurants. It is attached to a convenience store for beer, snacks and alcohol. Pool was clean. Also has a whole bar area that you can leverage by the pool. Property can be a little noisy in the morning when everyone is going to work since it is located directly on the main road to La Fortuna.”

“The property itself is wonderful for a family vacation. Ample room for everyone with the library/entertainment area, the dining room, deck, covered swimming pool and hot tub and every room with its own bathroom. Patrick couldn't have been more helpful. It was like having your own Concierge. Very helpful coming up with activities and and recommendations. The staff were friendly and took care of everything. The breakfasts delicious and large. It all worked flawlessly. ”

Beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and we had plenty of space for 5. “This was the perfect spot for five of us (3 adults & 2 teens) to stay while we were on vacation in the area. “Place was super clean and location was amazing. Short walk to town and to activities. Only issue was that the 2 bedrooms inside plus the bathroom had walls that do not go all the way to the ceiling. So you get privacy but no privacy from noise. Everyone can hear you in the bathroom and the 2 front bedrooms you can hear everything. If anyone gets up early or stays up late, this impacts everyone. I would not stay again due to this unless it was just with 2 people in the back master bedroom.”

“Wow what a great place to stay for a night or a month or longer. The place has all you will need to have a fantastic stay. Small kitchen to prepare your own meals if you so choose, dining table to have coffee at and eat. Comfy bed. Was all we needed and more than we expected for the price we paid. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever near Monteverde again. This place I’d perfecto.”

“The villa has a great view of the lake and is extremely quiet. It’s secluded but still close to the main road and we felt like it was a safe area The directions provided by the owner are good but it is hard to find at night. The furniture, bedding and amenities are pretty old but we were not expecting 5 star. We loved Nuevo Arenal compared to the very touristy La Fortuna but there are of course more activities there. Overall very happy with the villa”

“The absolute most perfect property I’ve ever stayed in! From the moment we pulled up, we were enamored by the large front porch and beautiful surroundings. “The house is so cute and cozy! It has everything that you may need for your stay. From the kitchen to the different rooms, everything is set. It is private and the lake was indeed in front. It was clean and the communication with the owner was very easy. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, that is absolutely your place. We got rainy days which made it hard to enjoy the lake. It was also far from activities so anywhere we wanted to go took us at least an hour and a half. ”

“Overall I was very happy with the resort despite a couple of hiccups. The property itself is really beautiful. We stayed in unit 209 and have a fabulous view of the volcano and overlooked a grade with beautiful flowers. Nice private patio with 2 rocking chairs. The resort itself has flowers everywhere and the pool, thermals and restaurants are all in close walking distance.
