“I really enjoyed my stay in the carriage house. It is quaint, and the grounds are lovely, especially in the spring. With the good weather it was wonderful to sit and enjoy the pond, trees, and flowers. Everything was very clean and tidy. I felt safe. I walked alone during the daytime hours nearby and was fairly comfortable although did not venture by foot as far as the downtown. It is a historic site, so for those whose expectations are for ultra modern brand new fixtures/furniture, this would……

“We had all of the amenities necessary to make this such a homie stay. Everything was included, the neighborhood was adorable and had easy access to main roads and restaurants. Quiet area. The only thing that we would change is a little more attention to detail with cleaning. There seemed to be random items left behind in each room. Otherwise, this host was amazing!”

“We had a wonderful time at this historic house. Mount Gretna is such a welcoming community and having the tall trees surrounding this cozy home is a one-of-a-kind experience. The rental needs some rennovations, but that's to be expected for a home this old. Also, the space is much smaller than it looked in the listing photos. We would love to visit again during the summer months!”

“The owners of the property carefully thought through all the amenities provided. We had what we needed for a very comfortable stay. We didn't think we needed an old school arcade until we had one! Place was wonderfully decorated, felt very welcoming. Communication with owners was easy. Only thing I didn't quite anticipate was the high deposit and how long VRBO holds the deposit before refunding back (14 days). Other than that, we hope to return when we're back in the area.”

“This was our 4th time staying in the Bird House and we had another enjoyable time. We love the country location it makes us feel like home. This time we enjoyed the York Herb and Garden Festival on Friday and spent a lot of time visiting the Amish Greenhouses. We cook most of our meals to spend time with our dogs but we did order take our from Caruso's Italian Restaurant and it was great and only 5 minutes away so still very hot when we arrived back to the house. We would highly recommend it and……
