As long as you know you're staying at a small historic house, you shouldn't be surprised by the creaky floors, steep stairs and ability to hear each other in separate rooms - all part of the experience! “We enjoyed our stay. The house was about a half-hour drive from the main visitor center in New River Gorge National Park. Two very nice state parks were also within a relatively short driving distance. We used the full-size kitchen for breakfast and dinner. It was nice having a dishwasher. The kayaks and fire pit were a lot of fun. ”
