We wanted to check out the lake, but didn't realize that they drain it after Labor Day. So we just spent a relaxing couple of days there. If you go, check out Alfredo's restaurant. Their subs and pizza are delicious.”

“Carri’s place is a must stay! It was immaculate and bigger than advertised! It was a lovely stay and we would definitely return. It was so wonderful to find each room thoughtfully put together with cozy extra blankets and fresh cut flowers! She thought of everything, from games to coloring supplies for the kids. There is Lots of seating, a big cozy sectional paired perfectly with an array of Togo snacks and hot cocoa left in a little basket. The dining room seats 8 and a beautiful patio table on……

“We enjoyed our stay. The house was about a half-hour drive from the main visitor center in New River Gorge National Park. Two very nice state parks were also within a relatively short driving distance. We used the full-size kitchen for breakfast and dinner. It was nice having a dishwasher. The kayaks and fire pit were a lot of fun. ”
