“Came in town for new river gorge. This property is close to everything. ”

“This was a great location for a trip to a beautiful National Park. It’s just 5 minutes from the main visitor’s center and New River Bridge and 10 minutes from downtown Fayetteville. The cottage is kept immaculately clean and located on a quiet gravel street. The kitchen has plenty of room to cook and is equipped with everything I needed to make dinner for 5. The owner stocked the fire pit with sticks and firewood. I forgot to pack a lighter and couldn’t find one on site. I contacted the owner.……

“What a gem! Our family met here (geographically in between our north and south locations) for a week of togetherness and adventuring. The house has room for everyone! Beds and beds and beds — and they are all comfortable! We enjoyed coffee in the sunroom and a lovely evening around the fire in the backyard. Although it rained for a good part of our trip, we still had time to explore Thurmond, Nuttallburg, see some waterfalls, hike a little in Babcock State Park, and drive into the Gorge and……

“Riverfront Retreat is a quaint, charming, well appointed two bedroom house located on the Kanawha river. The house is very clean and well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom. I think it's an exceptional value for a couple or small family.”

“We enjoyed our stay. The house was about a half-hour drive from the main visitor center in New River Gorge National Park. Two very nice state parks were also within a relatively short driving distance. We used the full-size kitchen for breakfast and dinner. It was nice having a dishwasher. The kayaks and fire pit were a lot of fun. ”
