“Although front desk services was a little bit long, overall score is very good. The hotel is a historical building and maintenance was good. My room is on the same floor near the reception counter and was clean and very spacious. The green and leafy environment makes you feel very relax and enjoy. There's Supermarket 15-30 minutes walk away. You can shop at Walton by taking a 461 bus for around 10mins distances. Clarks, H&M...,,, not so big but worth to visit.”

“The accommodation was very homely, and having home cooked breakfast was a lovely touch. Walking distance from the local shops and train station made it very convenient to get around and get what i needed on a daily basis. Highly recommended and will visit again.”

“Lovely hotel and pub. Room was impressive, nice and large, and spotlessly clean Super king bed was unexpected. Rarely seen in many hotels so this was a definite delight. Only downside to the pub as a guest was we were unable to get a nightcap on our return at 11pm. Breakfast very nicely set out. Ingredients fresh and flavoursome. If returning to the are, will definitely stay again. ”

“Pleasantly surprised. Was booked as an overnight pit stop for Thorpe park but actually wished we’d spent more time there. Quirky, cosy and everything you needed like ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, coffee machine etc. even snack in the room (chargeable). Literally 5 mins to Thorpe park ”
