“Very Good. Although the room is small, it is clean and comfortable. I stayed two nights there on different days. Queen bed room is better than twin bed bedroom. The twin bed room is very small and narrow and no place to put stuff, while bathroom is comparatively too big. If you want to use microwave, you have to unplug the water kettle and switch it for microwave .”

“The design of the washroom is unsatisfactory. The shower curtain does not extend to the floor, and the washroom is very wet after shower. As the hotel does not make up room everyday, the washroom condition is quite untidy. ”

“Super convenient as only a 15-20 drive to Auckland city and a 5-10 min walk to Ellerslie cafes etc. plenty of parking and great that there is no additional charge. ”

“They provided a breakfast that was excellent. Scrambled egg and bacon were great. The coffee machine was amazing although I made a bit of a mess until I figured it out. The one bad thing is that it has a few steps between the rooms as the building terraces down a gradual slope. If you are older with heavy bags I can imagine it would be a struggle. The staff helped us carry our bags up. The rooms were big and comfortable although modest and a little worn. Nothing fancy but great value. ……

“We liked Alexander Inn/the Newmarket area so much we cancelled our stay in the city center to stay here. They were very accommodating, storing our luggage and allowing us to leave our car in their garage after checkout while we went to get breakfast. Everyone was very kind, the rooms were nice, we LOVED all of their little plants, and there was lots of great things to do within walking distance. If I come back to Auckland, I'll be staying here again.”

“You get what you paid for. Everything you need is within a walkable distance. The staff are friendly and efficient. Other than the fishy odour in the corridor, everything is clean and tidy.”
