“First time VRBO customer. Process for booking was easy, description of property was accurate. Communication with host was superb. Any issues we had were quickly taken care of. It was as you would expect a cabin to be: minimalistic. All flatware, cooking and BBQ utensils, pot, pan and baking sheet were provided. Pots are sized for cabins. If you intend to cook large group meals bring your own. Very close to water, kayaks & life vests available. Paddle boat available for use. ”

“I needed a place for me and my nephews to stay while visiting family in Newago. This was wonderful. We each had our own room, everything was clean. It was really nice having a washer and dryer as well.”

“Had a wonderful stay in peak autumn with our young kids. The cottage felt like home. I loved that the property has a beautiful view on the hill but a nice flat spot of lawn for the kids to run on at the lake. We enjoyed taking the paddle boat around the island. Quiet area, very peaceful. Clean comfortable living quarters. Thank you for sharing your cottage!”

“Location was right near the public beach and ice cream store. Let the kids play at the beach and playground. Plenty of bedrooms. Wasn’t aware that we were expected to take our garbage home with us until we got there and weren’t prepared to do that. Meijer is a couple of miles away if you need supplies. Overall, good place to stay. ”

“We stayed here to fish and enjoy some downtime with my daughter and father and it was wonderful. The cottage is cozy and very well stocked with things you’d need for a stay without having to worry! It was a very quiet area and has direct access to the river, which we loved. It was great for my father who is getting older and doesn’t get around as well as he used to. “We really enjoyed our stay. There was lots of room for all 12 of us. The large downstairs bedroom with the TV and lots of floor space was great for the older kids and the sunroom area was perfect for the little ones. The air hockey was a hit and we even had a tournament. The kitchen was nicely stocked with lots of cooking and baking pans and serving bowls. “Getting too old to stay in a dry cabin with cots for deer camp. We were only 5 miles from our hunting property so this house made a perfect location as a base camp. Highlight of the weekend was watching a bald eagle while having our morning coffee. Everything was perfect and the only regret was we were too tired and busy to pull out a fly rod to try our luck on the White River for a brown or brook trout. Highly recommended for anytime of the year.”

“The Eagles Nest at the Blue Heron Resort on Diamond Lake is not for everyone but we loved it. I say not for everybody in part because you need to take a series of stairs including nearly 30 steps to reach the cabin from the parking space provided. While we (both in our 70's) didn't have a problem, others may well prefer few stairs. The cabin is also not fancy or modern and has a few quirks including a noticeable slant towards the lake.
