“We have stayed at the Microtel over the past 5 years while visiting our daughter in college. We have stayed in the suites and really enjoyed them. While we appreciate the upgrades to the rooms, they are not nearly as user friendly. There is no sink space in bathroom, no racks to put a suitcase on and the closet is weird setup. “I only gave a “1” on Cleanliness due to the dining staff at the included breakfast. We witnessed the waitress refilling the bread for toast with her bare hands (no gloves or tongs) then use her hands to open the kitchen door & came back out with more food in her bare hands. Also, we witnessed the used tables get wiped down with a wet cloth but there was never any sort of sanitizer sprayed on the surfaces. I’m not a germophobe, but I am aware of my surroundings.
