Little did we know that our home base at The Farmhouse turned out to be one of the best destinations of them all. It was simply perfect. Beautiful, relaxing, and charming surroundings on a beautiful working farm with horses, cattle, and some of the bustle on the farm with the hard working Tatum family. “The property is beautiful. Lots of rural charm while being close to Bardstown. Our favorite spot was the firepit at dusk. It looks over a field that is lit up with fireflies. The house has tons of antiques and plenty of beds for our group of 10. There is a book with the history of the property which was a nice touch. The skittle game was also popular. Over all it was a great place to come back to after tour distilleries all day. Highly recommended.”

“Our family chose Kentucky to celebrate a milestone birthday & visit Makers’s Mark Distillery. One of the primary reasons we decided on this property was that it was dog friendly. The property itself is warm, inviting and spacious. The owner had great/fast communication —and even stopped by when we couldn’t figure out how to work the television. Throughout our time on the farm, we truly felt like we were being woven into the local fabric. ”

“The cottage is adorable, as advertised, but the mattress is not comfortable, and the bed pillows are too full and firm (woke up with a sore neck). My ratings would be much better with a new mattress and pillows. ”
