“I always enjoy staying at the Stonefence. They are upgrading the pool area so that wasn't available to swim in, but the beautiful river was! I hope that opening the restaurant will work out for them (they were doing a "soft opening" during the stay). I loved my lunch out on the patio, reading my book and seeing the river.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay after dropping my children at college. It was better than I could have ever imagined from the second I got there till the second I left. Super clean, warm and welcoming, and a wonderful breakfast as well! As a single woman traveling alone, I had no concerns whatsoever. “This stay was a homecoming for me, since my parents had lived right on the St. Lawrence, and nearly the entirety of my late mom's family still live nearby. The area is largely agricultural, with many dairy farms and green pastures. It is a truly beautiful part of NY State and we were very much looking forward to getting back there to visit. “We loved our stay on Trout Lake! Check in was easy and as described. The kitchen was well-stocked and nicely set up for meal prep for our group of 7.
