“We were in town for a 2 day volleyball tournament. We booked this place because it was reasonably priced and only 10 minutes from Gallipolis and 20 minutes from The Root gym. The only thing that could have been better was warmer weather to sit out on the deck. The cabin was beautiful on the inside, perfect for our quick stay and the beds were super cozy. The hostess and her family are absolutely the sweetest and our homemade breakfast that they delivered was delicious!! We will stay here again……

“Adam was friendly, helpful, and ensured we had everything we would need to enjoy our stay. Our group absolutely loved the setting and fell in love with the good ol' Jenny Belle! “We wanted a place to get away for some peace, quiet and relaxation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and that's EXACTLY what we got! We felt right at home at the tranquil Runaway Retreat and didn't want to leave (our dog Stella seemed to feel the same)! We will be back and will stay longer next time. :) I highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to get away in a quiet place to relax and unwind. “The cabin was comfortable and very cute. The only thing that upset me was that the water was unsafe- even when put in the Brita Filter. It smelled strongly of metal and when I rinsed out a cup that had had it in it, it had a red/brown residue. So we had to buy water to wash hands and drink etc. But the area is really beautiful and I understand we're in the woods. It's a very comfy spot.”
