“Lovely setting overlooking the Illinois river. Plenty of beds, bathrooms, and seating for our family reunion. The fireplaces indoors and outside were great. We loved the piano, which was in tune, for our sing alongs. And the large deck outside was wonderful for enjoying morning coffee and bird watching on the river. The water supply is from a well so bring bottled water for drinking and coffee making if you don‘t like the heavy iron taste of well water. Make sure to catch sunset over the river.”

“Enjoyed the river views and barge traffic while staying warm and cozy indoors. Perfect size for a family of four. Close to grocery but remote enough to have a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Jason was a good communicator and responsive when needed.”

“This Cozy Cottage was the perfect place to stay near Peoria. I was in the area for a conference at the Peoria Civic Center and was glad I was able to save on money by not staying in a hotel. The property is only a short 15 minute drive to downtown. The home was very clean and well decorated.”

“We enjoyed everything about our stay. Clean, comfortable, thoughtfully equipped with everything. The information book is very useful. It even contains menus from several restaurants! The view is amazing!To watch the sunrises over the Illinois River made getting up early worth it!😊 We will definitely return.”

“We enjoyed our stay and are looking into planning another for next year to include all our kids. We were in town for a family wedding at Lake Wildwood. Jim's property and space is absolutely amazing, huge deck area by the pond with feeding the fish was awesome including ample space in the garage to play washers & games when it got too cold out. Check in/out were so easy, he replied quickly to texts, and overall great experience.”

“We had a great experience at The Landing. We found the home well stocked and plenty of room for family. We enjoyed the front porch with the gas heat, as well as the front parlor. The kitchen, to include the gas stove, was great for making multiple meals. There was plenty of seating for our family to visit and have coffee. The home is conveniently located and trips to the store was not an issue. We enjoyed reading the history about the home and could not imagine what the home has seen over the……

Greg's place is a great home base to gather our various family's together from throughout the country for our traditional holiday visit home to Metamora. Being adjacent to the Golf Course I can imagine this would be a great spot for a golf retreat. We will be back next year!”
