Francesca and her family (this is a family-owned business, after all) also offer excursions and visits to local wineries as part of specific packages. My partner and I really enjoyed the room and the garden (though unfortunately it rained a lot during our stay), not to mention the breakfast, which came in three main variants.”

However cooking in the kitchen was challenging, if you put one of the cooking pits higher the other automatically got lower. The kitchen was very basically equiped. “I had such a nice stay in IseoLago, I went on my own and all the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Especially the receptionist who helped me find alternative transport when the trains were on strike, and the one who told me it was a safe area to walk in as I was travelling on my own.
