“Great location for exploring Deep Creek and the surrounding areas! This rental was perfect for our family of 5 (with grown children in their 20s). Upper and lower bedrooms via spiral staircase may be difficult for people with mobilities or with really small children, but it was perfect for us. Walk to excellent pizza at Brenda’s and coffeeshop! Beautiful view of lake from deck with functional gas fire table to enjoy cool evenings. Eleni was very responsive and accommodating- great to work with!”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Birdhouse Lodge. It was quiet, cozy and had a great view of nature. The road to get there was steep and bumpy but my Prius handled it (in June, no snow). The main bed was too soft, but without the foam topper it was just right for us. The listing is accurate except that there are now FOUR TVs and nice chairs around the firepit. If you plan to cook, bring a few things (hot mitts, aluminum foil, etc). Other reviews are right about the extremely low water pressure. That……

“This place was absolutely amazing and just what our family needed. I’m so thankful I found this place and I will be booking again. The only thing I would say is that there needs to be a ladder for the dock but other than that, it was absolutely perfect! I had everything you needed and was close to everything! ”

“Cozy unit that was perfect for us (a couple). Well equipped kitchen and a wonderful little deck overlooking the lake. A walk of just a few steps to an excellent pizzeria (Brenda’s), a coffee/sandwich shop and kayak/SUP rental shop. I think the hosts have upped their cleaning game since some of the prior reviews, because it was definitely clean. Quiet at night, comfortable bed.
