“We spent a long 4th of July weekend with family that live in Morgantown. The house was very clean throughout. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Towels including wash clothes and kitchen towels enough provided. Bedrooms big and basement fits a family with kids. Kitchen stocked with everything needed for cooking meals. I would rent again. Very nice owner and nice to talk with regarding our stay. ”

“The home was very clean and comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms for a group was great! We misunderstood and thought that the dock would be walking distance from the house, but it is a short drive away. We enjoyed the deck and the hot tub, and used the kitchen and the grill - all of which were in great condition. The home is very well kept!”

“We stayed for a long weekend at “Almost heaven”. We really enjoyed the location- just a walk across the street to enjoy the dock and small beach area! (We brought our kayak and paddleboards and were able to just walk them over to get on the lake!) The location is great for a trip to the state park and close to town for necessities. “Great place to stay for the night, located very close to downtown Davis and Blackwater falls! It was cozy and just what we needed. The only thing that could be improved is the water temperature of the shower is very tempermental, as in you have to get it exactly in the right spot or its too hot or too cold. This is minor but something to note. We would definitely stay here again. The hostest was very responsive and I would give her 10 stars if possible. Thanks! ”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Birdhouse Lodge. It was quiet, cozy and had a great view of nature. The road to get there was steep and bumpy but my Prius handled it (in June, no snow). The main bed was too soft, but without the foam topper it was just right for us. The listing is accurate except that there are now FOUR TVs and nice chairs around the firepit. If you plan to cook, bring a few things (hot mitts, aluminum foil, etc). Other reviews are right about the extremely low water pressure. That……
