“We enjoyed our stay and the comforts of the Fox Den! It was a great base camp for daily mountain adventures and we appreciated the cleanliness, the outdoor space and the fully equipped kitchen. The only downsides of our stay include the noise from the upstairs renters—we had a hard time sleeping because you could hear their every movement and it lasted into the early morning hours. We also wouldn’t recommend walking to downtown Thomas from the unit because there isn’t a sidewalk and the unit is……

“Great place to stay, close to Thomas shops, Davis, Canaan Valley resort, Blackwater falls, canyon, and shops. Will be back again.Aussie man is the best.”

“To sum it up. The owners were absolutely the most accommodating pepole i encountered To add to that. The view is absolutely life changing. To wake up with mountains at your feet is insane. The fire pit. Yes. Cmon. Sunset with that view anddd a fire pit. “If you’re looking for peace & quiet, with the gorgeous Tygart River within 30 yards… this is the place for you! Host addresses minor issues quickly & efficiently & is super friendly! Grandchildren enjoyed the bunk beds & riding their scooters on road & bridge (very little traffic) … no cell phone signal but was nice to unplug & we could text with Starlink wi-fi! We truly had a marvelous time in spite of lots of rain. ”

“Unplugging from regular life for a week was great, nephew (age 7) went through withdrawl from the internet though. So many places to go hiking we were busy all the time. Going to town for groceries wasn't bad! The river was a bit cool for swimming, but was a grand adventure regardless. Definitely recommend!”

“We arrived at night to the cabin, trust the google map directions as clicked from the website. The key was in the lockbox as instructed and we were able to settle in nicely. When we woke up we were surprised to find an enormous green pasture behind the cabin with the river just behind the pasture. It was so beautiful! We enjoyed playing in the river, fishing, and chasing our dog. Mealtime in the screened-in porch was lovely. This week was a wonderful spring break getaway for our family in mid-……

“Very clean property and everything we needed was there. Very easy check in and out process. Convenient location to Blackwater Falls and cute shops, galleries, and eateries within a couple minutes. Grocery store and convenience store are close as well. We stayed with our two boys, two dogs, and in-laws. The space was cozy, but plenty of seating and space to separate when we needed it. I would recommend this location and would happily stay again.”

“Hannah provided a wonderful home in the heart of a historic neighborhood in Elkins. The house was clean, offered the necessities, and was furnished and decorated in a unique and comfortable manner. I felt right at home and it was an amazing place to rest after a long work week. I would highly recommend and would stay again. ”

“Inviting, cozy, lovely surroundings. This property is exactly as described, and we very much enjoyed the sounds of the river rolling by.
