“We had a great stay at the Summit Alpine. Our room was big and spacious and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was amazing, especially Ronimit and Pema! They helped us out tremendously. We can’t wait to return. ”

“Clean and friendly…”

“After I had to change hotels I chose to come to the Yangthang Heritage. Not only did the accept my last minute booking but also prepared a room immediately. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful with painted carvings throughout and is only a short walk to the market road. The dining was very good. The true highlight of my stay was the service. The service was exceptional and above and beyond anywhere I've stayed. If my travels ever return me to Gangtok the Yangthang……

“Filthy rooms badly in need of updating (see photo of tub). Leaky faucets. Wifi was patchy at best. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Completely not worth the money and quite a ways away from Central Gangtok. Nothing within the resort to stay in and enjoy either. We will not be returning - and recommend you please stay away. There are plenty of other options in Gangtok for this high a price”

“Enjoyed the stay”

“The views from our room were simply beautiful. Able to see Kanchenjunga range. The service by the staff from reception to housekeeping to restaurant is excellent. Each and every was very friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. The rooms are outdated and need an update. Location is very good. Few min walk to MG marg the most happening place . Breakfast was delicious and filling. The restaurant staff were very nice and willing to prepare anything you ask for. The manager was extremely polite,……

“Not value for money”

“Hotel was good and reception was very good. However I noticed two things that could be improved. We stayed for a couple of nights. The bed was very soft and was giving a back ache. It would be good for one night stays but for longer stays, the beds are soft. Second was the bathrooms didn’t have floor towels or mats. After the shower the bathroom floor gets wet and has high probability of slipperiness. Not good for old people. ”

“Air conditioning efficiency is a bit low, hot water in the washrooms have some issues”

“1) Resort map direction led us to different place and we had to search around little bit. 2) Location of resort is not great. 3) Resort was not worth for the amount we paid. 4) Bath room was stinking when we checked in and wash basin was over flowing. After reporting issue though a person attended but it was not fixed.”
