“Great place for a girls retreat. 8 of us ( all family) had a nice time. It was secluded but only 4 min from Lacon with a nice gift/thrift store, and restaurants, winery near by also. It’s on a wetland where you can go on a hike. Lots of wild life ( deer, geese, snake, ducks were seen) the house was stocked very well. Owner was easy to get ahold of. Great house great time! ”

Greg's place is a great home base to gather our various family's together from throughout the country for our traditional holiday visit home to Metamora. “We enjoyed our stay and are looking into planning another for next year to include all our kids. We were in town for a family wedding at Lake Wildwood. Jim's property and space is absolutely amazing, huge deck area by the pond with feeding the fish was awesome including ample space in the garage to play washers & games when it got too cold out. Check in/out were so easy, he replied quickly to texts, and overall great experience.”

The history they have for you to read about this little house was very interesting and enjoyable to learn. Karen, the owner, was quick to answer and questions even over the Christmas weekend. The cleanliness of the house was very good. Highly recommend this rental. ”

“We had a great experience at The Landing. We found the home well stocked and plenty of room for family. We enjoyed the front porch with the gas heat, as well as the front parlor. The kitchen, to include the gas stove, was great for making multiple meals. There was plenty of seating for our family to visit and have coffee. “Very clean with great communication from owner! I loved signing the journal and reading past entries. My only recommendation would be to let people know the dining availability in the area… late night delivery was out of the question unfortunately but The cafe downstairs was amazing.. we could even smell the fresh coffee coming from downstairs as we are early risers. Highly Recommend the breakfast banana split and the siracha sandwich!! I DO intend on booking another stay soon… maybe mom and……
