“This lodge is absolutely gorgeous! The flowering plants and the trees make this a picturesque and peaceful location. The accommodation is has been constructed with Spanish and Peruvian tones and is spacious and comfortable. Jose and the staff were very friendly and helpful with all requests. This was a memorable experience!”

“There was a miscommunication on my reservation and what Hotels.com gave me and my cousin and I showed up to the property with single room booked! The hotel was able to adjust our reservation to a double room at no charge - and this was completely my mistake not paying close enough attention at booking.... They were absolutely nothing but kind, caring, and very accommodating! The rooms have a bit of a walk, or some of them you repel into - and it can be a bit treacherous at night. The staff……

“No functioning restaurant ni coffee shop no jet tubs nothing like was advertised. Two pieces cold dry toast for breakfast. Microwaved re heated food gross. Not much for travel assistance to ”

“One of the best travel experiences I have had. Xavier and Erica are incredible hosts and people. The lodge and grounds are beautiful. Filled with beautiful plants , trees, and flowers. The lodge feels like an old ruin brought back to life. The rooms are beautiful and very rustic. The beds are extremely comfortable. Beautiful dining room for meals. The lodge is peaceful, quiet, and a short moto taxi ride from downtown. Lastly, two charming German sheapards make the lodge feel like a home away……

“We stayed at Spirit of the Lodge and liked its beautiful location. Surrounded by nature and right by the river. The staff were friendly and happy to help, which we appreciated throughout our stay. That said, there were a few aspects that fell short of expectations, especially given the premium price. Fishing was a key reason we chose this lodge, as we were told before booking that the river was great for it. However, the rainy season made fishing almost impossible, and this wasn’t communicated……
