“At first arrival we thought it was a little “rough”, but after seeing other places we could have stayed, this was a great place for the price. Best part was it was within walking distance of many restaurants, the Marriott resort and the “strip” (Caribbean beach with restaurants)… we will stay there again for the value.”

“This hotel is an amazingly unused resource. We understand it’s only got a small beach but we needed somewhere to stay on the island and it was perfect for us albeit a little far from Basseterre town Centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we couldn’t fault their attitude. The room was huge even though we only wanted a room we ended up with a suite and it was spacious with a really comfortable bed and air-conditioning in all rooms. We had a hire car which was essential.”

“The resort is in an amazing location in a mountain area. The staff is awesome, the chefs are Michelin star quality. Full gym, great pool area, great hiking, you will see plenty of wildlife. The rooms are awesome, like living with outdoors feeling. Definitely get a pool room, it’s the best. They are in the process of reconditioning many cottages and common amenities, but you can see good progress. If you want an experience with nature, incredible views, great service and amazing food, this is……

“Sunset Reef is fairly new with 7 suites - all with a view. The hotel management and staff are extremely helpful and eager to please. The food in the restaurant is very good. At check-in, we were greeted with frozen fruit drinks, cold towels and water, plus some fruit in the room. Lovely sunsets from the restaurant! Hotel beach is rocky and is being worked on. ”

“Rooms were basic but very clean suited us just fine. The bed was horribly hard and uncomfortable; we have stayed at many Caribbean hotels and know not to expect super comfy beds but this one I think was hardest and most uncomfortable. Staff were very sweet and accommodating. The private beach area was very nice with use of chairs and umbrella. Nice location near the strip for many food options!”
