“Nicest private home we have ever stayed in. Tastefully restored elegant Victorian home with all modern amenities. Historical connection to the region helps make it even more special. Private large garden and patio area is lovely. We only used three of the six bedrooms most which have very comfortable king sized beds. Great place for larger groups to stay and relax.”

“My wife and I had an amazing weekend anniversary trip at this cottage. No-nonsense, fenced rear dog yard, cool AC, clean sheets, abundant blankets and towels, great water pressure, great location near lots of hiking and a short trip to Franklin/Oil City/Slippery Rock, and a very warm welcome from an amazing host. What more could you ask for? We would happily stay again!”

“Just what we were looking for. Peaceful and beautiful backdrop. The river was magnificent and seeing river otters and a beaver along with the deer made our trip that much more memorable ”

“The place was beautiful, clean and peaceful. My only suggestions would be to upgrade at least one bed to a queen for larger people. My stepdad is 6' "3" and had a bit of a hard time fitting in the bed. And some larger furniture in the sitting room. It really was a great place though and I will recommend it and may stay again myself if we go back to the area.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was cozy, clean, and equipped with nearly everything one could need. The river view and fishing opportunities were truly wonderful.The hosts' hospitality was particularly noteworthy. They were exceptionally helpful, going above and beyond to assist with a reservation error and ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience.We highly recommend this place and its hosts.”

“The pool was the best. That was the mainstay area for us. Only thing is the ladders for the pool need the 3rd steps. It was very hard for a couple of us to get out without the extra step. So we couldn't enjoy the pool as much as we wanted.”

“Elk Street Retreat was everything it was advertised to be.. The house was fantastic: kitchen was well apportioned - maybe the best of all the VRBOs we've stayed at over the past 5 - 6 years. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of bath towels and bath accessories. We were one block away from the main part of town - but you'd never know it when hanging out on the deck or back yard..We especially liked the multiple times a day visit from an adorable white cat we nicknamed Frankie. We would love……

“We were in Clarion for a wedding. It was the perfect place with everyone having their own bedroom and a large living room/kitchen where we could be together. It’s a beautiful house with lots of charm. ”
