“Such a cozy cabin. The area is so peaceful, it was great to spend the morning sitting in the window watching the forest and nearby creek. The lighting makes everything feel warm and cozy too. The windows in the bedroom let in a lot of nice sunlight. The stairs are a little steep, but not too bad once you get the hang of them. ”

“Do yourself a favor and stay at the cottage! We had a wonderful time in this beautiful, peaceful setting. There was a welcome basket to greet us when we arrived and communication with the owners was excellent. We enjoyed the backyard and deck while watching the bunnies and fireflies. We could hear the buggies passing on the main road and see them from a distance. We visited the farmers market close by and ate at Dienner’s Country Restaurant buffet. Our stay was short but we spent time exploring……

“The cottage fit in very well with the Mt. Gretna aesthetic. Loved the outdoor areas. Back patio felt secluded and enjoyed the gas grill.Picnic table in front porch was perfect alternative when it rained. AC did great job of cooling house. Kitchen was well equipped for our party of 6. Hosts were very responsive and the welcome gift was a nice touch. We would definitely stay at the Butterfly Cottage again. Parking for 2 vehicles is provided. Note that the driveway is tight. “Our stay in this delightful Shoehouse 14-!6 July 2025 was certainly a memorable relaxing treat. You have certainly thought of and met our every need. Beds comfortable, ac adjustable, linens plentiful---even make-up removable cloths. Loved the former ice cream parlor downstairs area (where I had enjoyed previously) as we played board games with tea and Keurig coffees and the convenience of yet another bathroom there. We are fond of shopping nearby in Intercourse and Bird in Hand, PA and truly……

“Beautiful space; it's clear how much the owners put into the design and layout they created, including the pool. Peaceful! And they were so quick to respond to my messages, coming to shock the pool for us and even sending me a screenshot of the shampoo/conditioner that I'd loved! The only thing I think is worth mentioning is that the upstairs room did get hot. We were there on hot days...but I needed to keep the AC on 65 to really cool the space up there. This meant there was a distinct temp……
