“My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!”

“This was a great stay for us for a short visit on campus. We didn't need much more than a kitchen and cozy sleep amenities. I would say, it would be helpful to have a picture of what the outside of the stay looks like or have more specific directions for check in. We weren't completely sure where the actual stay was when we arrived and didn't have service to ask. ”

“Super cute cottage on Sugar Island. This was my first time on the island. We didn’t have much time to explore, but getting to the cottage was easy. Perfect place for my daughter and I for a weekend of hockey in The Soo. (There for sure would’ve been room for the whole family to stay though.) We will be keeping this place in mind for more hockey trips that fall when it’s open! ”

“Nice house in a great location. Upstairs is very clean. We appreciated the availability of fans and the bottle of wine from the host. The fenced yard was great, with a full privacy fence, deck, and picnic table; this was a perfect space for our dog. The entertainment room was a nice space, but has a strong, musty smell. Additionally, the basement doesn’t have any kind of door or gate, making it difficult to keep pets out. ”

“We were a little concerned when we drove up to the house because the front area needed to be tidied up. The inside was clean and provided all of the items we needed for our stay. The wifi information was not readily available and we had troube streaming our services on the TV.The views from the living area were phenomenal and the freighters coming by made it even better. All in all I'm glad we chose this listing!the living”

“This is a beautiful VRBO. Very clean and spacious. We had concerns with only 1 bathroom (we had a couple of events to get ready for), but we made it work. Our 2 adult children are "boat nerds" and we all enjoyed watching the freighters go by. We definitely want to stay here again!”
