“The Castle was really a beautiful place to stay. The atmosphere of Tamboring Mtn is amazing. Food was delicious. ”

“I read the varying reviews on this hotel and I was a little wary but tbf we had no issues with the place. Yes it’s dated but it sort of goes with the wackiness of it all. Good sleep, decent room with a view, great breakfast and all within a reasonable price. The view from upper rooms are just worthy of * themselves. Don’t be put off by bad reviews the hotel is fine and cheap.”

“Katy the owner was so friendly as well her dog Butler. Beautiful river which is easy access from the cabins. Our stay was short due to other committments during the day but by night it was so peaceful. We bonded because of no wi-fi which was great not having kids or us on technology. Different experience for us from our normal hotel/motel stay but we loved it. ”

“What a gem of a find. I think we ended up with the best room. From the start we had multiple kookaburras interested in being fed from the balcony and were not shy to come up close. The room was just enough for us to be comfortable and the spa was a lovely luxury. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would gladly return. ”

“The staff, Lewis, Ruth and Katherine were beyond professional! They truly went out their way to give me and my fiance the best dining and accomodation experience! Also hats off the chefs. It was genuinely the BEST food we have ever eaten! I will be bringing the rest of our family back to show them the experience we had! 12/10!!”

“If you’d like to drop out for a few days this is the place. Donna has made the apartment very comfortable and you don’t need to worry about bringing any appliances. Even little thoughtful items like chocolates, chips , crackers , coffee and different teas to name a few.. Beds comfortable and amenities are fresh and clean. Close to all your walking tracks . Fox cafe and Binna Birra lodge restaurant won’t disappoint. Loved the pool and outdoor area. Little wallabies and plenty of birds to hear……

“Wallaby Ridge Retreat was a beautiful serene spot overlooking the valley, with a spa, pool and peace and quiet. A few of the wallabies were roaming around. Dan the manager was very helpful on hand for anything you needed. The little town of Canungra is close by with coffee shops etc. I would definitely recommend this lovely place. Thanks Dan for a lovely stay. ”

“Lovely spot up on the mountain! We enjoyed our room and the hospitality. Just wished our balcony was a little cleaner, as we brought our art set to paint some landscapes but the balcony glass was dirty. Great breakfast- shared accommodation with private ensuites ”

“This place is amazing. Think breathtaking views (literally people jostling for space down the road to look at the same view for sunset), thoughtfully designed cabins and special touches like a welcome basket with bacon and eggs, orange juice and other goodies. The cabin has been lovingly maintained and has everything needed for an amazing stay. Even has double glazed windows, wood for the fireplace. Balcony is very private, but has breathtaking views. "The resort is best for families. The water park is the star facility. My family enjoys the water park very much. There are other kids facilities which makes the resort to be the best for kids resort, according to my kids comments. On the other hands, it is close to Gold Coast Light Rail, which makes it very accessible to other GC locations. There is a bus stop just out side the main entrance for Sea World. If you do not drive and take public transport, it is very accessible."
